General Manager of Apollo Chorus since 2006, Greg Kolack has been working in the
performing arts for 35 years. At the age of 17, he co-founded The Nouveaux Players, a
successful community theatre, and remained at its helm for its entire ten-year existence.
He spent 22 years at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, where he assisted on over 100
productions. Mr. Kolack also spent six years with Broadway in Chicago, working on
dozens of major productions, including The Lion King, The Producers, and Movin’ Out.
He worked for eleven years with Circle Theatre in Forest Park, seven of those as Co-
Artistic Director. During his leadership, Circle received over 25 Jeff Citations and over
60 nominations, all while developing a board of directors, upgrading the Theatre’s
facility, and garnering acclaim for its artistic quality. He is proud of his work with youth
theatre and taught with Chicago’s acclaimed Gallery 37 program. Other affiliations
include Chicagoland Advocates for Signed Theatre, Drury Lane, Marriott Lincolnshire,
Theatre at the Center, Apple Tree, Pegasus, Bailiwick, Raven, Oak Park Festival, and
dozens of others. He is the recipient of three Jeff Citations and three After Dark Awards.
Scott Slein is currently in his sixth season as Ticket Manager for the Apollo Chorus of
Chicago and proud to be part of the organization. Scott is the Business Manager of
Tanagram Partners, a technology innovation and design company in Chicago. Scott also
runs American Eagle Productions, a touring theater company in its 18th season of
bringing educational and entertaining assemblies to schools, libraries and park districts
throughout the Chicagoland area. He has a background in professional theater and has
worked in many of Chicago’s off-Loop theaters, including the St. Nicholas Theater,
Wisdom Bridge, Body Politic, and Apple Tree.
